There’s an old boat on a beach I visit occasionally, it must have been there a while.
The first time I photographed the boat, I captured it all, a front view looking out to sea, and a side view down the beach, but somehow I wasn’t entirely satisfied. I felt there was more to the boat than understanding where it lies, it seemed to have a soul and character all of its own.
This image, which I’ve settled on, won’t reveal the resting place but I feel it captures the soul, if only a boat could have one.
